Supported Independent Living (SIL)
NDIS funding: Core Supports – Assistance with Daily Life

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is support with everyday tasks in your own home — things like cooking, personal care, cleaning and building life skills. It can be in a shared home with housemates you choose, or one-on-one support in your own place. Our goal is simple: your home, your routine, your choices, with the right support around you.
What this support includes
- Help with personal care, cooking and household tasks
- Support to build daily living skills at your own pace
- Overnight and 24/7 support where funded
- Support workers matched to your personality and interests
- A written roster of care you and your family help design
Common questions
Do I choose who I live with?
Yes. We work with you to find compatible housemates, and you meet them before any decision is made. You will never be placed in a home you have not chosen.
How is SIL funded?
SIL is funded under Assistance with Daily Life in your NDIS plan. We help you and your support coordinator prepare the roster of care and quotes the NDIA needs.
